Tea in Scotland: a journey into the unknown

Tea Scotland was formed through a shared passion for tea and a dream to grow it on Scottish soil.

Tea grown in Scotland

Scotland is perhaps an unusual choice for a tea plantation: our climate is nothing like that of India, Nepal or China, where so much of the UK’s tea is grown.

The best teas are grown in mountainous regions, where tea experiences colder temperatures, something we have plenty of.

Microclimates in Scotland mimic the conditions in high-grown tea regions, known for producing quality teas with distinct, refined flavours.

Our tea crops also benefit the local environment.
